Lydia Miller, a young widow struggles daily to keep her land after losing her high school sweetheart. I loved this book and look forward to future books written by this author. I have a picture in my mind of Blue Meadow Farm – especially, the meadow filled with the wildflowers that Blue planted for Lydia. The porch, the lemonade, the barn – everything is so well described that I see it all in my mind. The characters in the book were very well defined and I felt as though I knew each one of them. When I wasn’t reading the book, I was wondering what would happen next. Lydia is a widow trying to remake her place in the world. Having been down that road myself, I identified with all the problems that one encounters during that time of life. Lydia was able to support herself with hard work and through that hard work, met Jack. Neither Jack nor Lydia was looking for what they found and it was lovely the way the author made us feel what they felt along the way – good and bad. This book is full of great things but there are some bad things as well – just like in our normal lives. There are other interesting characters in the book and I look forward to seeing what life brings to them along with Lydia and Jack.Product details

This is a great love story based on Christian principals. It is a good book that you would not be ashamed to allow a young person to read. There's nothing risqué or offensive. Hope to see more in the Blue Meadow Farm series.
I decided to make this my "beach read" and I am so glad I did. Like Lynna, I like to write and read as well. I especially love fiction stories that develop characters in a deep way. Buy this book and read it! You will be drawn in almost immediately. I really loved it. I am ready for the next installment. Those fears be damned because you lady have GOT it.
Blue Meadow Farm was a book hard to put down. The story of a young widow and her path to a new love while keeping true to her faith. A great read, I highly recommend it. Cannot wait for the sequel.
I really enjoyed this writing style. Easy to read and did not repeat the same thing 20 times like others seem to do. It is set in the county I live in, so I related to the places visited and the people. I immediately started the next book in this series.
This is a great story with well developed characters. New beginnings and starting over in a rural area of North Carolina. If you love Jan Karon, you will love this author. There is a promise of more to come!
Enjoyed reading this book and meeting new friends. They were warm and inviting, seemed like people I could have known forever. The story was light and uplifting yet at times dark and mysterious. Since I am from the South myself, specifically NC I could relate to the Southern way of speaking, the hospitality, the beautiful locations, and the down to earth way of life. I could close my eyes and be on the porch with my new friends. Can't wait to visit with them again down on Blue Meadow Farm.
Blue Meadow Farm is a sweet, clean, Christian romance with a twist. The book has great characters and funny Southernisms. It's about family and relationships and life and a girl who is trying to find her way through it all.
I can't wait for the next book to be released in a couple months. Looking forward to seeing what happens next at Blue Meadow Farm!
